Our moto is that two heads are always better than one. Having a strong team is vital to the success of a project. From designers to builders and architects, a unified team working for the client is always going to end with the best results.” |
Rain and Skye started Urbaine Home in 2014 and Urbaine Atelier in 2016. Urbaine Home showcases their curated collection of goods, new and antique, from around the world and expresses their personal style and aesthetic. Urbaine Atelier offers full service interior design and it’s sole focus is the client and their individual projects.
“The studio allows us a creative space to work with our clients and hone in on their specific needs and desires. Our showroom is where we get to play and surround ourselves with things we love. Sometimes the two combine themselves in a beautiful way and we get to share the things we love with our clients. This is the best of both worlds.” Urbaine Atelier offers a custom experience tailored to suit each client. With an eye towards subtle luxury and a nod to the local mountain lifestyle, Rain and Skye work with each client to create homes that reflect the families who live in them. The duo have extensive experience in the high end residential realm, both having worked for architects in the past, allowing for a deeper understanding of the spaces, finishes and a love for details. “We LOVE architectural details. We like to be involved in the beginning of a project so we can help hone and explore every aspect of the house. One time, while in Paris for market, we had the opportunity to take a tour of Cartier’s original store and private museum. While we should have been drooling over diamonds and jewels of unparalleled beauty, we instead were drooling over the perfect white oak doors and wall paneling! The same thing happening at the Louvre, where one would normally go to admire the art, we instead were geeking out over the patina and proportions of the door and window hardware. They were just so good!” At Urbaine Atelier, each project gets the full attention of two lead designers. While this is not the traditional method found in most firms, Rain and Skye have worked this way for the past 6 years, side by side and find it is most effective and beneficial for their clients. “Our moto is that two heads are always better than one. Having a strong team is vital to the success of a project. From designers to builders and architects, a unified team working for the client is always going to end with the best results.” The Urbaine brand was born out of a passion for beauty. From beautifully design homes, furnishings, spaces and details, it is this love for beauty that keeps the brand moving forward and evolving. "We always say that really great design will make your heart ache. That’s when you know its good.” |
